Women's Hair Loss
During the change of seasons, it is quite normal to lose hair more
than usual. A normal status is that we lose an average of 25 to 40 hairs
per day, with the approach of summer, we lose 45 and into the autumn we
lose up to 60. You don’t need to worry hair loss leaves room for new
hair to grow that is healthy and vigorous.
A vitamin can help to promote re-growth of new hair by activating the
manufacture of keratin, these are vitamin b6 and amino acids, the
problem should be resolved within 3 months.
After childbirth, it is possible that a woman loses her hair, possibly
in “handfuls”. During her pregnancy, she had a high rate of
progesterone, which during birth, collapsed and disappeared in one fell
swoop. If the hair loss continues beyond six months after childbirth, it
would be a problem, but it should correct its self as the woman regains
all her normal hormone balance.
A blood sample taken to detect iron deficiency, which is responsible for
most cases of female alopecia (70%) may be needed. Contraceptive use
during breastfeeding may also be a predominant factor in the fall of
excessive hair. A diet of iron rich, red meat at least 3 times a week
and dairy products, water and calcium tablets and then everything should
go back in order within a reasonable period.
Menopause also causes the falling of hair; the body no longer
manufactures enough female hormones and male hormone’s start “taking
over". The hair loses its strength and density at the expense of hair
that grows on the chin and cheeks.
Treatment is simple, female hormones are taken which is the classic
treatment of menopause. No woman should avoid this kind of treatment
because they have everything to gain, healthy, normal hair and skin that
is rejuvenated. Not to mention removing the effects of menopause such as
hot flushes.
Iron and calcium supplement this treatment, if alopecia is really
visible it will be a good idea to consider an application of Minoxidil
or similar treatment in order to consolidate and strengthen the hair.
Don’t forget capsules of gelatin in order to strengthen and thicken
existing hair, the results will be visible after three months of
treatment.
Some hairs instead of falling out grow thicker and stronger which
conversely makes the hair lose its volume. The cause of this is being
too receptive to the male hormones that every woman produces in quantity
at menopause. The follicles are too stimulated, which depletes the hair
that grows causing hair loss.
During the pre-menopause stage, progesterone will help the hair to
recover pending hormone substitutes that you may need later during
menopause. After six months use the effects should be felt.
The local loss of hair meaning in a certain area of the head is often
due to emotional shock, stress, childbirth or illness. Some medicines
can cause loss of hair, in such a case of hair loss it is imperative to
treat as soon as possible by applications of Minoxidil combined with a
vitamin supplements.
If the problem is due to overwork, exhaustion, the doctor may prescribe
a sedative. Relaxation sessions enhance the effects of the treatment,
the first effects will be visible around six months after starting
treatment, and this treatment should be followed throughout the rest of
the patient’s life. |
